Rules of Play
The Rules of Golf, as adopted by R&A Rules Limited, will apply, together with Golf NSW, Golf Australia and any additional Local Rules as drawn up by the Match Committee. All players must comply with the local rules and conditions of play of each host golf course. Any incidents occurring during play must be reported promptly to the Match Organisers and the relevant golf course management.
Entries — GA Handicaps
Eligible players are amateurs who hold a GA handicap (or overseas equivalent) at the time of entry. Should a player's GA handicap on the day of play be above the handicap limit in their allocated division, they will play off the maximum GA handicap for that division for the duration of the event. Should a player's GA handicap on the day be below the handicap limit, they will play off their current handicap for the duration of the event. However, the daily playing handicap will be set at a maximum of 45.
Refunds
Entry fees will only be refunded in the case of a withdrawal advised before the closing date, or after the closing date but prior to the start of the tournament for medical reasons (a medical certificate must accompany a request for withdrawal on medical grounds). All refunds will incur a $10 processing fee. In the event of cancellation of any part of the event due to adverse weather, no refunds will be made.
Number of Divisions and Courses
The program and handicap limits for each division will be determined after the close of entries, based on the number of entries received. The Match Committee will allocate players to a division based on their handicap at the time of the draw. If a Foursomes partner is unable to compete, a replacement on a similar handicap may be substituted, with no additional fee payable, provided an entry fee for that event has already been paid by the original player.
It is the responsibility of each player to check the division she has been placed in, and to notify the Match Secretary immediately if she believes there has been an error. In the event of a dispute, the Match Committee's decision is final.
Motorised Transport
Motorised transport is permitted for all players. Priority is given to players with medical needs upon presentation of a current medical certificate to the Match Secretary — carts for medical purposes may be reserved at the time of entry. All other players must make their own arrangements to reserve a cart by telephoning the Pro Shop at the relevant course after the draw is published. Payment may be required at the time of booking, and hire charges are at the discretion of each club. The number of golf carts available is determined by each host club, not by the Barrenjoey Women's Classic committee.
Registration and Time of Starting
Competitors must register 30 minutes before their starting time on each day of play.
Pace of Play
Rule 5.6a will be strictly enforced.
Distance Measuring Devices
Distance measuring devices may be used as outlined in Rule 4.3a.
Dress Regulations & Player Conduct
All players are required to comply with the dress regulations of venue clubs, and must adhere to commonly accepted standards of golfing etiquette and sportsmanship in accordance with Rule 1.
Mobile Phones
The use of mobile phones is not permitted on the course or during play, except in the case of an emergency. Mobile phones may be used for GPS measuring or scoring purposes only.
Caddies
Caddies may be used by Divisions 1 & 2 players during the 18-hole stroke play competition held on Monday, with the prior consent of the Match Committee.
Trophies
In any event, a player may not win both the scratch and the nett prize. In the tournament, a player may only win one perpetual trophy. The major trophy presentation will be held on Thursday night at the Host Club from 6:00pm.
