Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about the 2027 tournament.
What is the Barrenjoey Women's Classic, and what changes have been made to the tournament?
−
The Barrenjoey Women's Classic was formerly known as the Barrenjoey Peninsula Week of Golf, and later the Barrenjoey Week of Golf, before taking on its current name. The new name was announced in 2023 to reflect the new three-day format, and the 2025 tournament was the first played as the Barrenjoey Women's Classic. Player registration, competition management and scoring are facilitated by Golf Genius, free of charge to entrants.
When and how can I register for the tournament?
−
Registration opens at 9:00am on Friday 13th November 2026 and closes on Monday 25th January 2027. All women with a current Australian or overseas golf handicap are welcome to enter. Register online via our Register page, which takes you to the Golf Genius registration page. Please note that all players must register separately — you cannot register on behalf of another player or team member. When you register, please select all the events you wish to enter (Monday, Tuesday and/or Thursday) at the same time, in a single registration. If you need to make any changes to your entry, please email match@barrenjoeywomensclassic.com.
What is the schedule and format of the tournament events?
−
The tournament spans three days: Monday 8th February 2027 — 18-hole individual competition (Stroke for Divisions 1 & 2, Stableford for Division 3; Division 1 is a Jean Derrin event). Tuesday 9th February 2027 — Foursomes (Stroke for Divisions 1 & 2, Stableford for Division 3), with each division playing at a separate course. Thursday 11th February 2027 — teams event (18-hole Better Ball, two scores to count), played across four host clubs. The tournament concludes with a prize presentation at Wakehurst Golf Club on Thursday 11th February at 6:00pm. See the Tournament page for full details.
How can I support the charity raffle, and which organisation benefits from it?
−
You can purchase raffle tickets online via our Charity Raffle page, or in person at the individual golf clubs hosting the event. The raffle features prizes donated by golf clubs and businesses from local, regional and interstate areas. All funds raised are donated to Women & Children First, supporting vital community services for women and children on Sydney's Northern Beaches.
Can I book a cart?
−
The Match Committee only books carts for players who have a medical certificate, which must be sent to match@barrenjoeywomensclassic.com before the draw is published. Once the draw has been published, you may book a cart directly with the Pro Shop of the club at which you're playing — just let them know who you'll be sharing the cart with. Cart hire fees are paid to the golf clubs on the day. See the Draw page for more information.
